Steel Assassin - War Of The Eight Saints

Started as a cover band it took 3 years to form Steel Assassin in 1983 with their own tunes. The band is hailing from Boston and is heavily influenced by the European heavy metal scene from that era. The band disbanded in 1985 but after a reunion in 1988 they came together in 2005 to write new material. And almost 25 years after their start the album "War Of The Eight Saints" is released. The album opens with a 6+minute song setting the tone you can expect. Good musicianship in up tempo catchy songs. Strong vocals and nice guitarriffs with finger licking leads are the main ingredients powr metal should have. And let's face it, Steel Assassin have the roots, ability and the craft and all this resulted in a nice album that can be obtained if you like the good old heavy power metal from the 80s..
