Steel Cage - Obsidian
Already ten years of existence for this Italian band and reading their bio they were not too active. "Obsidian" is their new self financed album and contains beside the audio also multimedia with video, pics and an introduction of a novel written by the rhythm guitarist. The intro is setting you on the wrong step with the piano ticks. "Damned Soul" is getting straight ahead in a mix of thrash and melodic death metal. Multiple styles of vocals like screams, grunts and clean parts. Guitars are doing some melodic riffs and leads while the drums could have been better in the mix. Listening this album is not a crime as there is enough variation in the songs but the production should have been better as it is now sometimes to flat.
