Tacit Fury - A Social Berserker

Russian outfit Tacit Fury are a band of changes. Originally a symphonic doom/death metal band from Volgograd, the band now plies their trades in the oceans of traditional death metal and have moved to the Russian capital of Moscow. "A Social Berserker" is the bands fourth full length album release in their thirteen year tenure to date and if simplified/catchy death metal bordering on mainstream is your thing then look no further!

Opening with the colossal riffs and beats of "Lacerated, Strangled, Impaled", Tacit Fury are all about slamming rhythms, head banging moments and giant riffs and in fairness to them they do all this well. With a sound chunky and full in nature, the rampant bass rumblings and beefy guitar work makes for a catchy album overall, and whilst generic there is little to truly criticise! One thing I could have done without though was the awful cover of Metallica's "Creeping Death" stapled onto the end. Musically it matches up little with the original and just means the album, a decent affair all round, ends on a poor note!
