The Monolith Deathcult - Tirvmvirate
From the Netherlands comes this quintet called The Monolith Deathcult. The band is started in 2002 by guys who earned their eternal celebrity with band like Dead Head, Altar or Eternal Conspiracy. But would it work together? Yes as they already released two albums before releasing this third opus in the end of February 2008.
TMD doesn't want to break speed limit or brutality but want to add depth to the songs. So they use a keyboard player for techno beats, controversial samples and humor in the little corners.
"Trivmvirate" is an album with 8 tracks that need the attention when listening. In the mide tempo parts you get the groove and when they speed up you hear guitars that do great classical inspired loops with viruosity. Also the blastbeats sound fresh without losing heavyness. And that they are mixing some drum n bass influences to the songs in just great.
That the production of the album is very well done is another plus point.
So if you like your death metal with a bite (don't be narrowminded) than "Trivmvirate" is a good choice.
