Vital Remains - LIVE

date: Sunday, Aug 2, 2009
venue: Triple Rock Social Club, Minneapolis, MN, USA

Doing some headlining dates around some North American festivals, Vital Remains stopped in Minneapolis to slaughter anything and everything holy. If you’ve ever seen Vital Remains before, you know just where this is going, they play their best songs, and those songs hit hard. August 2nd was no different. The band took the slightly undersized stage and tore the place apart. The songs played were a mix of the latest two albums, “Icons of Evil” and “Dechristianize” but they also played a very welcome old song from the “Into Cold Darkness” album.

The sound in the club was absolutely amazing. Depending on where you were standing, each guitar could be heard perfectly, bass was not covered up, and upon moving back just far enough from the stage, the drums were thunderous, but not over powering and with Tim Yeung behind the kit… words cannot describe the speed and skill displayed.

Although it was a Sunday night, and the workweek was to follow, the die-hard crowd was treated to a great night of pure unholy blasphemy from the mighty Vital Remains. There are a few remaining North American dates so don’t miss them!

Vital Remains’ set list was as follows:
Icons of Evil
Scorned
Devoured Elysium
Savior to None, Failure for All
Descent into Hell
Hammer Down the Nails
Dechristianize
