Withering - Gospel Of Madness

Withering is a new band from Finland and delivering their new album in 2004. They started out with covers from Amorphis and Paradise Lost and it will not be strange that their songs fit those bands. 11 Tracks that are played in midtempo mostly and could have some more variation to give it a bit more tension. Grunting vocals, melodic guitars (but where are the leads that fit the atmosphere?) and good soundquality. Not an album that knocks you down but solid and a bit too safe.
