Disbelief - Navigator
"Navigator" from demos to full lengths is the 11th release from Dieburg, Germanys' Disbelief. "Navigator" is a really awsome record that you have to experiance for yourself. Mid-paced, well executed metal in the old school vein. Crisp production bring out each members performance, excellent vocal production make lyrics very audiable only adding to...

Fenris - Fill The Void
Fenris play 80 style of metal. Very Iron Maiden, classic King Diamond souding, a nice hint of Dream Theater rapped in it. Nice to hear musicians who know how to play there instruments profeciently. Lots of Jazz influence can also be heard on this release. Very nice and etheral undertones in this recording with what seems to be viking mythology insp...

Lake Of Tears - Greatest Tears Vol.2
Quality Production, but a dirtier sound. Sill Lake Of Tears, but showing more of there darker Swedish Death Metal Roots. Sounds of Entombed and early Amorphis radiate through this release. This is an excellent glimpse at the beginning of a great band.

Manegarm - Vargstenen
Formed in NorrtŠlje, Sweden, in 1995, Manegarm play viking, folk, metal. I can only assume the lyrics are based on viking mythology because they are in Swedish. So I cant understand a damn thing they are talking about. So I will have to inlist my buddy Joel (Immersed In Blood) to let me know what the hell I am singing to (poorly). With that fack as...

Mistress - The Glory Bitches Of Doghead
Hailing from Birmingham England. Home of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Cradle Of Filth, and the list goes on, here comes Mistress. These Brits' play ThrashGrindingDeath that will appeal to any fan of really BRUTAL music. Catchy songs that go back and forth, punky feel, and ohh so pit devestating. This record is non stop, balls to the wall, extreme e...

Sothis - Fusion
Intense Thrash Metal from this Italian Quintet. Fusion is 8 songs of powerful, boot kicked in you face music. Lines have really been blured with this record, which is a nice change. Most bands have a tendency to conform to a certian formula when they play heavy music. Sothis have made music that is not quit Thrash, not quite Death, not quite like a...

Lake Of Tears - Moons and Mushrooms
New opus from Swedish metalers Lake Of Tears, and the 3rd record I have had the privlage of listening too. Like any band who push themselves they evolve in there sound. The 1st record I was exposed to was Greatest Tears vol II, which was more of a death metal sounding record. Then the band progressed to more of a Gothic sound with Black Brick Road....

Empyreal Destroyer - The Destroyer (Promo)
Technical as fuck Melodic Death Metal. This UK group has released aggressive, fist pounding, symphonic metal. Harmonizing guitars giving the aggression just enough emotion and drive, making the songs very unique. An insanely skilled drummer, whose technicality intensifies each guitar riff. Slam all the best elements of Arch Enemy and Dream Theater...

Sepia Dreamer - The Sublime
I cant say enough good things about The Sublime..so I will try to say as few as possible. This is an epic release, most will call it Progressive (Bands like Dream Theater, YES, and the like). No matter what you call it, these songs are masterfully executed with enchanting harmonies and beautiful orchestration. Sepia Dreamer is a band I have truely...

Soulbreach - My Dividing Line
Ok heres my confession, from the opening guitar riff.. there was not a doubt in my mind these guys were from Sweden. But I have never been one to just dismiss a band so quickly, so I listend to the rest of the record. What I found was something very unexpected. Yes, SOULBREACH have that Swedish sound associated with bands like Soilwork, ext. Heavy,...

Welkin - The Origin
Welkin hail from a place that I attempted to destroy once 3 years ago, Gent Belgium. Well, Gent is still standing. Welkin's music should tell you why I couldn't tare it down. Tight, Technical, Stellar Brutal Musicianship. This is not A Typical Death Metal. Focused and Rhythmic, "The Origin" will take you on a 30+ minute ride of sonic, vicious, music...

Souldrainer - Reborn
Hailing from Ostersund, Sweden, Souldrainer play well execute, midpaced, beautifully soundscapped Death Metal. Souldrain remind me alot of Hypocrisy, just not as fast. Carrying forth the Death Metal style and sound that Nocturnus started 20 years ago. Heavy, charismatic songs laced with keyboards to inject atmosphere. Thankfully keyboards don't ove...
